Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille on a “five-year deal”.
The 22-year-old defender joins the Gunners in a deal worth £27m, having impressed during his 34 outings for the Ligue 1 outfit last term.
The Brazilian becomes Arsenal’s second signing of the summer, following the arrival of compatriot Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea.

Magalhaes has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with the north Londoners after snubbing interest from Napoli, PSG and Manchester United.
The centre-back will wear the number six jersey at the Emirates.
