Man United in talks to sign Crystal Palace stopper Jack Butland

Manchester United are rumoured to be in talks with Crystal Palace over a loan move for goalkeeper Jack Butland this month.

As per The Telegraph, The Red Devils are weighing up the possibility of signing the 29-year-old stopper on a loan deal for the rest of the campaign.

It appears that Newcastle United’s decision to recall Martin Dubravka has opened up the opportunity for Man United to potentially sign another goalkeeper and they may be considering signing someone to fill this role.

With Butland’s contract set to expire in the coming months, it is expected that Palace will renew his contract before allowing him to join another club on a temporary basis.

It seems that joining Manchester United on a temporary basis could be a good opportunity for the 29-year-old stopper to rediscover his form and play at a high level again.

The England international has made 17 appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions since his move from Stoke City in 2020.
