Liverpool vs Stoke: History Repeat?

Liverpool will start their campaign against Stoke City in a hope to get their first game does not end in the same manner as their last visit to Britannia Stadium.

9th August , 16:00 (UK Time) Britannia Stadium.

The Merseyside club suffered a 6-1 humiliating loss at the Britannia Stadium last season, but the Reds are much confident to announce a much-needed lineup on Sunday.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who almost guided his team to a first league title in 24 years two seasons ago – He seems to be under huge pressure from the club’s officials and fans.

There were plenty of rumours that Rodgers would lose his job ahead of this season, but he retained his position and has made an impressive number of changes to his squad.

Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Nathaniel Clyne have all arrived at Anfield this summer, with James Milner and Danny Ings joining on free transfers.

It remains to be seen – how quick the new signings can adapt to a life in Anfield, but with games against Premier League giants with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal to come in the next five weeks, the Reds will have to prove to avoid added pressure from the football pundits.
